Reasons Why Your Bed Height Actually Matters. When choosing a new bed it’s easy to prioritise its comfort and design and ignore something as mundane as the height of a bed. However contrary to popular belief bed height is actually pretty important. The height of your mattress in addition to your bed frame can contribute significantly to the look and even function of your bedroom not to mention your overall comfort when getting up every morning. Whether your bed resembles the 20 mattresses in Hans Christian Andersen’s The Princess and the Pea or consists of a measly mattress on the floor its height can significantly affect you.
Benefits of Owning a Storage Bed Frame. To anyone who tends to move around frequently a storage bed frame can seem like a terrible idea. However there is actually more than one reason to go with this kind of setup for your bedroom especially if you plan to stay in one place for a while. Take a look at all of the available options for bed frames that will fit your particular apartment or home needs and be able to move with you to a new location when necessary.
Comfort. Possibly the most important justification behind the significance of bed height is that it affects your comfort and well-being on a daily basis. How easy it is to get in and out of the bed is obviously dependent on said bed’s height. You don’t want to strain your legs having to scramble out of a really low bed. At the same time you don’t want to have to hurdle your way into bed every night.
Lifespan. Another benefit of having a wooden bed is that it can be changed over the years to give it a second third or even fourth life. With sanding staining and painting options (if needed) you can always refurbish your bed to develop with your tastes. In theory all you would need to do (providing the bed frame is cared for properly) is replace your mattress after the recommended amount of years. Whereas with divan bases it is highly advised you change your bed base and mattress at the same time.
High beds are much riskier. If I`m going to fall out of bed (which fingers crossed never happens) I`d much rather do so from a low height. I already have a habit of injuring myself doing everyday things (like sleeping) so anything I can do to minimize that risk is a plus in my book.
