Yo! Welcome to the GIGANTIC blog. The primary purpose of this place is to promote music that we’re into, and that we’d like other people to hear too. We want to try and help break new bands and tracks, and also like to dig up old classics that we think need more exposure. Essentially, we want to help makes tunes Gigantic. Of course, we do enjoy throwing out the big pop and electro bangers as well, we’re not music snobs.

Two For Tuesday #1
Aye, so I just decided to invent a new name for Tuesday posts. Gonna stick up two tracks that we currently can’t get enough of.
The first track is my choice. It’s ‘Disconnected’ by Shy Child. We used to play their dancefloor smasher ‘Drop The Phone’ loads back in the day. Usually as a response to a request from Erin or Matt. The last Shy Child album was pretty good, but the new long player Liquid Love is freakin’ awesome. It’s way more melodic, and even rips of Fleetwood Mac in parts. Can’t go wrong there. Anyway, this tune has been lodged in my head since I first heard it (which, incidentally, was about four weeks after I first received the album. Such a back log of music).

The next song is the choice of Kimbo. She’s not around to tell us why she picked ‘Tigers In The Fire’ by Love Grenades (pictured), so I’m going to make something up. “S’up, Kim here, I picked this song because my favourite pastime is roasting endangered animals on a fire. I once roasted a baby elephant. ‘Tigers In The Fire’ speaks to me on this level.” That girls is weird, isn’t she?
