The Friday Three-Way
We’ve decided to hit up the Gigantic blog with three of our top tracks of the moment today. The first track ‘Animal’ is by a band called Miike Snow (yes, it should have two ‘i’s, and no, it’s not someone called Miike), and it got it’s first proper airing at Gigantic when Kim played it last week. There are some cool remixes of it kicking around, if you’d like to dig around the internets. We might do a wee remix post with some of them next week.

The next song is one that has turned out to be a real grower – ‘One More Chance’ by Bloc Party. Wasn’t sure about it on first listen, but now the wee housey piano line stamps a smile on my face. They’ve experimented and tried new things on their past few albums, and it’s pleasing to say that they’re on the money with this one. The single also has a great remix by Alex Metric on it. You should sniff that out too.

This final song is one of the most requested tunes of the moment, ‘Zero’ by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, which is brilliant as I love playing it. To be correct, the original version is always asked for, but I love this RAC remix. It just adds a wee bit more pump to the tune.

Don’t forget, if there are tunes you’d like to see on this blog, or you’ve discovered some cool new music you want to turn us on to, just drop us a line.

Yo! Welcome to the GIGANTIC blog. The primary purpose of this place is to promote music that we’re into, and that we’d like other people to hear too. We want to try and help break new bands and tracks, and also like to dig up old classics that we think need more exposure. Essentially, we want to help makes tunes Gigantic. Of course, we do enjoy throwing out the big pop and electro bangers as well, we’re not music snobs.
