Rip It Up Beverly King
You know when you hear a song, and it reminds you of another song, even though they aren’t that similar? Well, that happened to me the other day. I was listening to the new Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti album Before Today. It’s a kinda weird record, stylistically quite diverse, sounds as if it was made in another decade, but beneath it all are plain old quality songs. Once track that stood out in particular was ‘Beverly Kills’. For some reason it reminded me of the Orange Juice track ‘Rip It Up’. Then, when both those songs got lodged in my brain all I could think of was Prefab Sprout‘s ‘King Of Rock N Roll’. I know, I can’t explain it either.
Whatever the cause, all three tunes are absolutely top notch, and you should defo go away and investigate each artists back catalogue if you’re not into them already.

Prefab Sprout – The King Of Rock N Roll

Yo! Welcome to the GIGANTIC blog. The primary purpose of this place is to promote music that we’re into, and that we’d like other people to hear too. We want to try and help break new bands and tracks, and also like to dig up old classics that we think need more exposure. Essentially, we want to help makes tunes Gigantic. Of course, we do enjoy throwing out the big pop and electro bangers as well, we’re not music snobs.
