Friday Freshness
Aww yeah, it’s the muthahumpin’ weekend peoples. I’m working towards a deadline here, so this is gonna be another quick post being fired out. Today’s choices are all tunes that haven’t been played at Gigantic before, but that are all gonna be dropped at some point tonight.
First up is the new Vampire Weekend single ‘Cousins’, and it’s a wee beaut. I totally caned their last album, and ‘A Punk’ became a regular floor filling set staple for ages. I’ve been listening to the new record via a secure stream, and it’s and excellent follow up. I predict massivity for it next year.
Who doesn’t love a bit of Annie? Not the musical, the electropop songstress. Though I do love both. It took her long enough to come up with her second album, but it was worth the wait. This tune has been floating about for a good while, but it hasn’t had any Gigantic airtime yet. That all changes tonight, baby.

Annie – I Don’t Like Your Band
The last tune here is from the marvelously monikered Jump Jump Dance Dance. I don’t really know much about them, and am feeling too lazy to do any research. This tune, ‘Do It For Love’, has some real nice post-punk style bass and beats, which then gets layered up with some sweet electroy goodness. Sounds exactly like something I’d be into, doesn’t it? Well, it is.

As always, if you’re reading this in Belfast and fancy hitting the club tonight, drop me a line for guest list. UltramegayeoK.

Yo! Welcome to the GIGANTIC blog. The primary purpose of this place is to promote music that we’re into, and that we’d like other people to hear too. We want to try and help break new bands and tracks, and also like to dig up old classics that we think need more exposure. Essentially, we want to help makes tunes Gigantic. Of course, we do enjoy throwing out the big pop and electro bangers as well, we’re not music snobs.
