Yo! Welcome to the GIGANTIC blog. The primary purpose of this place is to promote music that we’re into, and that we’d like other people to hear too. We want to try and help break new bands and tracks, and also like to dig up old classics that we think need more exposure. Essentially, we want to help makes tunes Gigantic. Of course, we do enjoy throwing out the big pop and electro bangers as well, we’re not music snobs.

Canadian Cool Part Two
It’s my last day in Canada *sniff*. Just about to get packed but just have time for a really quick post. To follow on from the Canadian music post yesterday I’m going to fire up a few remixes of big Canuck bands.
I discovered Metric on my first visit to Canada a few years back. I picked up their album Live It Out, which was a great decision as it’s a classic. They have a new record due out in 2009, which is something to look forward to. Their song ‘Monster Hospital’ has been a Gigantic anthem for a long time now, but it still goes off whenever it’s played, which is the sign of a great track. The MSTRKRFT remix of it is quite old, but it’s still worth checking out.

I recently found this Alex Metric remix too. It’s more a reworking of the MSTRKRFT version that a straight remix, which is good and interesting.

Arcade Fire are one of the biggest and best bands in the world today. Fact. You don’t need me to tell you how good they are, you know it already. They haven’t been the most remixed of bands, but there are a few kicking around. Here are two versions of ‘Black Mirror’ that are more than a bit good.
