Yo! Welcome to the GIGANTIC blog. The primary purpose of this place is to promote music that we’re into, and that we’d like other people to hear too. We want to try and help break new bands and tracks, and also like to dig up old classics that we think need more exposure. Essentially, we want to help makes tunes Gigantic. Of course, we do enjoy throwing out the big pop and electro bangers as well, we’re not music snobs.

A Midweek Quickie…
Ok, so I drank a massive cup of coffee a short while ago and now can’t get to sleep. Thought it would be a productive spend of time to put out a quick blog post of a few of the other tunes that went down well last Friday, plus remixes of those tunes.
The first track is the classic old school rave track ‘Pacific State’ by 808 State from back in the day. I dropped it pretty early in the set, mainly because I wanted to hear it loud. Turns out it’s my friend Andy‘s favourite song, he claims I knew this and played it deliberately. I didn’t, it was a pure coincidence, but a good one as it stopped him as he was walking out the door to have a smoke upstairs. Smoking is bad, mmmkay?

The next tune I dropped on a bit of a whim too, and as soon as I did Emma Irwin (two namechecks in a week? Spoiled.) shouted a big ‘thank you’ across the room. It’s ‘Cruel Intentions’ by Simian Mobile Disco, and this time the remix I’m posting is by Heartbreak. They slow it down nicely and turn it into a real cosmic groover. Splendid.
